Year 2019 is heading towards it end yet the research and publication work at Research Center for Islamic Economics (IKAM) continues. We are pleased to share with our readers the news of publication of our 5th country report taking the number of reports so far published at IKAM to the figure of 11. Our news report entitled, "An Overview of Islamic Banking and Finance in Bangladesh" has been authored by prominent Islamic economist, Prof. Dr. Kabir Hassan and details historic development of Islamic economics and finance in Bangladesh. The report evaluates all Islamic Banking and Non-Banking financial institutions hence may serve as a useful guide for students and professional who have an interest in research on Islamic economics and finance in Bangladesh.
