Research Center for Islamic Economics (IKAM) and International Council of Islamic Finance Educators (ICIFE) are jointly organizing a Workshop on Islamic Economics and Finance Education in Turkey and Malaysia on July 17, 2017, in Istanbul.
IKAM aims to produce competent ideas and theories in order to build Islamic economic thought in a holistic manner. Under IKAM research, publication, education, training, conferences and many other academic activities are conducted. The formation of the ICIFE was considered timely and much needed for IFE to be made known and promoted worldwide.
For this aim, IKAM and ICIFE are jointly organizing the Workshop on Islamic Economics and Finance Education in Turkey and Malaysia. In this workshop, the current situation and future conceptualization of the education in the field of Islamic economics and finance will be discussed in a global perspective.
The workshop will provide a platform for bilateral relations and cooperation between institutions as well as researchers from Turkey and the world, who presently are engaged in providing education and conducting research in the field of Islamic economics and finance.This workshop where notables from the field will share experiences and propose solutions will create a good starting point in the development of Islamic economic thought and its practical application both in Turkey and around the world.
