Conference Held on “The Future of Islamic Economics”

The fifth in the series of IKAM’s Conferences took place last Saturday, December 14, 2019. The talk was delivered by famous academician, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Faruk Aysan who delivered a thoughtful session under the theme "The Future of Islamic Economics". Aysan during his talk, made several references to the fact that how conventional economics is distancing itself from axiomatization and how disciplines like behavioural economics are gaining popularity within the field. He termed this transformation as positive harbingers for those working or willing to work in the field of Islamic economics. The program received rich participation and an extensive Q & A session was held towards the end of the program. The guest was presented a plaque by IKAM’s coordinator, Ahsan Shafiq after the program concluded.
