"Basic Education in Islamic Economics" Program Held in Van

"Training Program on Foundations of Islamic Economics" was organized by IKAM to make this concept comprehensible for every researcher who has started or is considering to start working in the field of Islamic economics.
Before starting to work in the field of Islamic Economics, it is aimed that the researcher should have the requisite knowledge about basic concepts related to Islamic economics and the basic principles and the components of a viable system. In this regard, IKAM in cooperation with BİLHİKEM (Research Center for Science and Wisdom) organized a two days Islamic Economics Basic Training Program in Van October 23-24, 2021.
The training program received great interest from the researchers, academics from different departments such as Theology and Economy. Many NGO representatives also followed the program.
Different presenters made presentations on different topics including Dr. Faruk Bal on "Historical Development of Islamic Economics", Melih Turan on " Current Issues of Islamic Economics", Dr. Zeyneb Hafsa Orhan on "Introduction to Islamic Economics", Dr. Cem Korkut on "Money and Financial Issues in Islamic Economics", and Dr. Sercan Karadoğan on " Institutions and Systems in Islamic Economics". Many students, academicians, and professionals participated in the program.
Students who attended the program were satisfied with the training and wanted IKAM to continue such activities. After two days of training, the participants received their training certificates from Dr. Sercan Karadoğan, director of İKAM.
