The fourth of the Islamic Economics Webinars series, organized in collaboration with IKAM and KTO Karatay University, was realized with the titled “Economic Disparities and Social Justice” by Lutfi Sunar.

During the presentation, Lutfi Sunar emphasized that "not epidemic, but inequality kills". The destructive effects of social inequalities were brought to the agenda. It is the emphasis on social justice that distinguishes Islamic economics from other disciplines. Sometimes not being able to differenciate justice and equality become a justification for injustices. In some cases, ensuring equality will also ensure justice. The impossibility of ensuring absolute equality among people requires that inequalities be reduced as much as possible to ensure justice.
