Research Center for Islamic Economics (IKAM) was established in December 2016 to provide a resource-rich academic environment for research in Islamic Economics. Research Center for Islamic Economics (IKAM) aims to produce competent ideas and theories to build Islamic Eco­nomic Thought holistically. It has successfully progressed as a center of excellence in the scientific discipline of Islamic Economics and Finance, promoting economic justice and prosperity through quality research, development of pragmatic monetary and fiscal policies, and business and trade practices strictly confounded to the contextual maps of the ethically grounded discipline of Islamic Economics.


OUR AIM

Research Center for Islamic Economics (IKAM) was established to conduct deep-rooted and quality research to build Islamic Economic thought holistically. The work carried out here may serve as a blueprint for creating a system that promotes fair and halal gain and respects human labor.


OUR GOALS

IKAM aims to produce competent ideas and theories in order to build Islamic economic thought in a holistic manner.
• To produce information and data related to an Islamic economy and create a platform for new ideas.
• To conduct studies that focus on an economic system that is fair, encourages halal acquisition, respects people and has qualified human resources.
• To deal with both theoretical and practical issues related to the functioning of an Islamic economy, aim to interested in matters of Islamic economy on the basis of different dimensions and expand it to people as a helpful pattern.
• To attract more attention by producing useful research and to welcome alternative and innovative solutions.


OUR ACTIVITIES

IKAM aims to conduct comprehensive, thorough and quality studies for the creation of an alternative economic system that favors fair and halal income, and respects humans and human labour. Under this aim IKAM offers regular education, research, training and development activities, publishes quality research through its occasional research and country reports, and books which are published by its publishing house Iktisat Yayinlari and offers a platform to researchers through its ESCI indexed popular journal Turkish Journal of Islamic Economics (TUJISE). We also organize regular symposiums and conferences. Our annual Islamic Economics workshops have proved to be a milestone in achieving our mission of producing distinguishable policy relevant research where illustrious works have been shared by notable scholars from across the globe.
