The Finance Accreditation Agency Visited IKAM

The Finance Accreditation Agency (FAA), which is responsible for raising the standards and quality of professional learning and development in the financial services industry in order to create highly skilled and internationally mobile professionals for the global financial services industry, visited Research Center for Islamic Economics (IKAM) where massive work and research on Islamic Economics is being undertaken.

Arvind Sreekaran, Head, Business Development Strategic Corporate Relations and Julie Heng Mei Ching, Associate, Accreditation, explained FFA as an independent quality assurance and accreditation body supported by Bank Negara Malaysia (Central Bank of Malaysia). In addition to that, they elaborately informed Lütfi Sunar, President, Research Center for Islamic Economics (IKAM), General Secretary, ILKE Kadir Yaman and Member ILKE Board of Trustees, Nihat Erdoğmuş, about their training program through which they guide trainees in order to develop, design and deliver more efficient programs in their aim to meet international standards.

During the meeting, constructive discussion took place and future collaborations were discussed. Lütfi Sunar, President, Research Center for Islamic Economics (IKAM) also briefly talked about Islamic Economics as a highly growing field and added necessitation of new methodologies. At the end of the meeting, President Lütfi Sunar gave a present to Arvind Sreekaran and Julie Heng Mei Ching.
